Students start their summer when the school year’s over. Professionals relate summer to the Holy Week break. Whenever it starts for you, summer is always a good time to have a well-deserved mid-year breather. And enjoy as we should, without breaking the bank.
Plan your trips ahead of time. Summer is a peak season for us in the Philippines so whether it’s a staycation, an out-of-town or an out-of-the country trip, it is best to schedule vacations ahead so you can avail of lower airfares and accommodations.
Be on the lookout for promos. Every now and then, airlines, hotels and resorts come out with promos and advertise them in newspapers, magazines and even on social media. Be sure to follow or like their pages so you don’t miss out on anything. You can even sign-up for their electronic mailers so you regularly get updates.
Visit travel expos. The tourism industry holds travel expos twice or thrice a year where airlines, hotels and resorts come out with discounted rates as much as 50 – 70% off. And some Travel agencies even come out with discounted rates for tours that you can tuck into your intinerary.! Planning ahead comes in handy since you can book and buy your tickets during the event.
Set aside funds early. Not all stores accept credit or debit cards, especially those in far-flung islands. It is recommended that you set aside a specific amount as soon as you’ve planned your vacation so you’ll have enough cash for your sojourns as well as trip souvenirs and pasalubong.
To ensure money won’t be the problem when opportunities to purchase tickets and book reservations come, start saving for your future travels early. Save in Insular Life Wealth Secure,a disciplined savings plan that grows your money over time so you can have funds for your future endeavors and long-term financial needs.
